HERON REEF Photo

Photographing a wild subject is an intimate experience. Capturing their attention and gaining their trust—especially underwater—takes grace, humility, and an understanding of not only the animal and its environment, but also the art and the physics involved in creating the image. These things do not always happen, but when they all come together, it’s magical.

A passion I inherited, and a game I love to play.

“15 years ago I borrowed my dad’s camera, underwater housing, and strobe for a week of diving in the Bahamas, and, as they say: The rest is history.”
